Progreso Transforms Lives with Roads That Connect Dreams and Opportunities

Progreso Strengthens Infrastructure in Communities with Paving Projects That Improve Access and Quality of Life

Progreso, in collaboration with communities and local authorities, is transforming lives through paving projects that connect dreams with opportunities. In San Juan Sacatepéquez, several communities have witnessed how teamwork and a shared vision have significantly improved their infrastructure and quality of life.

An example of this is the community of “El Naranjito”, where neighbors from sectors one and two of Aldea Suacité inaugurated the paving of “Los Pérez” alley, a project that directly benefits more than 50 families and indirectly impacts over 1,000 people.

This collaborative effort between the company, neighbors, and local authorities paved 700 square meters of street, marking a turning point in the mobility and safety of the community.

Inaldea Montúfar, located at kilometer 42 of San Juan Sacatepéquez, the inauguration of a long-awaited project took place: the paving of the road leading to the local cemetery.

This project, a result of the joint effort between Progreso, municipal authorities, and community members, positively impacts 15,000 residents, facilitating access and dignifying an essential space for the community.

The inauguration of this project symbolizes Progreso’s commitment to continuously improving the living conditions of the communities where it operates, promoting collaboration and teamwork as tools for development.

But that’s not all, inaldea Cruz Blanca, also in San Juan Sacatepéquez, the inauguration of four paving projects in Sector 1 was celebrated.

Thanks to the joint work between San Gabriel Plant, the Community Development Council (COCODE), and the neighbors, more than 700 linear meters of pavement were built, improving connectivity and strengthening intercommunity relations.

These projects are a prime example of the positive impact that can be achieved when companies, authorities, and communities work hand in hand. The active participation of neighbors not only ensured the success of the projects but also reinforced a sense of belonging and social cohesion in the locality.

Thecaserío “Los Guamuches”, in Loma Alta, also saw significant progress with the paving of its streets. The inauguration, held at the community’s official mixed school, included the participation of teachers, COCODE members, and auxiliary mayors.

This collective effort ensures that children, families, and workers have safe and functional paths for their daily commutes. These projects confirm Progreso’s responsible citizenship by promoting infrastructure initiatives that connect and transform.

These initiatives not only improve access to essential services but also create a lasting impact by strengthening the social fabric and opening new opportunities for future generations. Each kilometer of paved road built represents a step toward development, a story of collaboration, and a shared vision for a brighter future for Guatemalan communities.
